— Why we do not provide daily updates for .at zone?
— Country-code registars never open their zone files to the public. The only way to discover domains in country-code zones is to do a massive recursive scan of all known websites. That's what we're doing. We use a massive cluster of servers and crawl the Web, then we check and clean the resulting lists. We know of millions of CCTLD-domains in hundreds of zones (and currently know of 419,293 domains in .at zone), but we do not cover 100% of them (some of the smaller websites simply do not have any inbound links and that means that our crawlers cannot find them). Meanwhile we regularly add new domains to this list (1 time / 2 months).

.AT is an internet country code top level domain for Austria. It is a domain used by many companies and organizations to pull and reach Austrian traffic and has proved to be very beneficial to most. Foreign businesses that come to invest in Austria used a .at domain and they are immediately accepted by the locals. The domain registration is administered by NIC.AT.

The first ever domain registered at .at was in 1988. Then, the .at was administered by the University of Vienna. But as the demand for registrations grew, the administration of the .at domain had to be converted into a cooperate body. That is how NIC.AT was formed to take over operations in 1998.

The .AT domain can be registered by anyone from anywhere, there are no restrictions whatsoever. Registration can be done by ordering the domain from any certified registrar.
